Animals Deserve Better, Inc.
In 2004 Animals Deserve Better Incorporated as a non-profit 501c3 in
the State of Georgia; qualified under IRS codes as a tax exempt
charity on both Federal and State levels, and obtained its Animal
Shelter License with the Department of Agriculture for the State of
Georgia.
Animals Deserve Better, Inc. (ADB), founder and CEO is certified
with EARS (UAN) for disaster relief, certified in animal first aid
with the American Red Cross, is a member of APTA for dog trainers
and is a member of the Humane Education Association and has
facilitated the rescue of over 1000 animals. Animals Deserve Better,
Inc. is made up of an all volunteer board consisting of special
educational teachers, a family counselor, and other individuals dedicated to helping animals.
Animals Deserve Better has developed an educational program
for children and adults called “The Animal Awareness Program©” this
program is designed to educate children and adults on all aspects
of our companion animals care and requirements.
Animals Deserve Better will work with local emergency groups
and FEMA and the UAN to aid and assist in animal rescue
and relief serving the 8 southeastern States of Alabama, Florida,
Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and
Tennessee.
Animals Deserve Better will continue to rescue animals off death row, take
in owner surrenders and work diligently to reduce the hard
statistics that between 88,000 – 131,000 animals are killed in Metro
Atlanta area shelters every year.
Animals Deserve Better specializes in puppies, kittens, special
needs cases and rescuing animals from being killed, abandoned and
unwanted.
